SECOND CUT COTTON LINTERS
Second Cut Cotton Linters are removed from the cotton seed, and ground in a Wiley Mill fitted with a 4 mm screen. Milled cotton linters tend to agglomerate or lump together, and may be difficult to separate. Second Cut Cotton Linters are used in a variety of testing applications to represent organic plant matter found in indoor and outdoor environments. Second Cut Cotton linters are used as a fuel system component test contaminant, an ingredient in ASHRAE Test Dust, a contaminant for high efficiency water heater testing, as well as other indoor air quality test programs.
